Toenail reconstruction is a cosmetic procedure that rebuilds damaged, fungal, or deformed nails using a specialized, medical-grade gel. After prepping the nail, the resin is applied, shaped, and cured under UV light. It provides a natural-looking, durable, and comfortable result that lasts 6 to 12 weeks. Since most salons and beautians are unable to work on fungal nails, this is the perfect alternative for individuals who wish to cover an active infection.
The product
The gel used in all reconstructions is the Wilde Pedique SIlver Plus gel by LCN. This gel is infused with colloidal micro silver and Piroctone Olamine which, not only improves the look of toenails, but also supports nail health by preventing bacterial and fungal growth.
There are multiple colour options to choose from incluidng:
- Opak - a milky tone
- Pastel - a subtle pink, with a natural appearance
- Natural Beige - also has a natural appearance, (good choice for individuals with darker skin tones or people who want a natural look)
This patient's Matrix, (The area under the cuticle responsible for generating new cells) was damaged by a falling Sprinkler pump. OUCH!
Now the nail grows in layers instead of one solid nail.
